Mr. Myron GargisDistrict 4 Representative
Myron Gargis is the Executive Director of Mountain Lakes Behavioral Healthcare, which is the Community Mental Health Center that serves Marshall & Jackson Counties. He has been employed with Mountain Lakes Behavioral Healthcare since 1997 and has held jobs as Therapist (Adults, Children, and Families), Coordinator of Crisis Services, and Program Director prior to promotion to Executive Director. Myron has Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Jacksonville State University (1992) and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Alabama A&M University (1996). He is licensed in the State of Alabama as a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) and Private Independent Practitioner (PIP). Myron serves on the Board of Directors for the Marshall County Child Advocacy Center, and is a member of the Marshall Co. Department of Human Resources Quality Assurance Team and Lake Guntersville Rotary Club. Myron is married to Mollie, who is a kindergarten teacher for the Guntersville City Schools, and they have two daughters, Lynley and Maggie.
