Strengthening Families Workshops

Multiple Dates

The Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers is hosting a series of Strengthening Families workshops across the state this spring and summer. Strengthening Families is a research-informed approach to increase family strengths, enhance child development and reduce the likelihood of child abuse and neglect. It is based on engaging families, programs, and communities in building five protective factors: Parental Resilience; Social Connections, Knowledge of Parenting and Child Development; Concrete Support in Times of Need; and Social and Emotional Competence of Children. The training includes a total of seven courses, and thus the first four courses will be shared in the “Strengthening Families 1” workshop while the remaining three courses will be shared in “Strengthening Families 2” workshop. At a low cost to register, both lunch and social work CEUs are included so save the date for the upcoming workshops if you’re interested in attending one.
