Mrs. Melanie Borden Little

Melanie Borden Little graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Accounting. Her work experience transcends private accounting, non-profit work, as well as her recent public accounting position with Wear Howell Strickland Quinn and Law, LLC from where she retired two years ago. She has always enjoyed the fulfillment that comes from helping others with their financial situations.

She serves as the Treasurer for the Volunteer Center of Morgan County, the President of Morgan County Republican Women, the Secretary of the Bel Sole Home Owners Association and past treasurer of the Timberland Lake HOA.

As a former Parents and Children Together volunteer, board member and then employee, Melanie developed an understanding that prevention of child abuse and neglect was more financially, as well as more emotionally beneficial than standard intervention methods.

Melanie has always loved working with teens and children through her local church, as well as singing in the Worship Choir. Traveling, gardening and enjoying her family and pets are her current hobbies. Melanie has been married to Dr. Larry Little for 37 years, and together they have two adult children, Lauren, married to Will Myers, and Landon. She embraces a mindset of using gratitude to improve one’s attitude, and hopes to bring that practice into her work with ADCANP.
