Mr. Churmell MitchellDistrict 3 Representative
Churmell Mitchell is a distinguished leader whose extensive career encompasses educational leadership, media production, personal coaching, and community advocacy. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Activity and Health from Auburn University, with ongoing studies in Pastoral Leadership at Highlands College.
Churmell currently serves as the Executive Director of the Alabama Head Start Association, where he champions early childhood education and represents Alabama in The Office of Head Start and the National Head Start Association.
He has been appointed by Governor Kay Ivey to the CTF District 3 Board and is also a Young Alumni Board Member at Auburn University, actively enhancing educational and workforce opportunities across Alabama.
Churmell leads Churmell Mitchell Productions, working with high-profile clients like Winner of the Voice Asher Havon from NBC’s “The Voice,” and his content has been featured in the New York Times Magazine.
As the founder of “A Father’s Voice Matters,” Churmell supports fathers in diverse circumstances through legal, educational, and emotional resources. His creation of the “Emotions You Know” game promotes emotional intelligence through interactive play.
Churmell’s commitment extends to personal coaching, where he assists athletes in reaching their professional goals and helps entrepreneurs achieve their business aspirations.
His work has earned him prestigious recognitions, including a Lifetime Achievement Award from the President of the United States and the Auburn University 2024 Black Alumni of the Year Award. Churmell’s multifaceted expertise and dedication make him a pivotal figure in fostering positive change both locally and nationally.
