Mr. Sam Covert

Mr. Sam Covert retired with over 35 years of service as the Mobile Division Area Manager for the Alabama Power Company.  Currently Vice Chair of Community Foundation of South Alabama.  Mr. Covert has served on the following Boards :   Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors; Vice Chair for Workforce Development;  Board Member – Southwest Alabama Workforce Development Council (SAWDC); Board Member – Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama; Board Member – Coastal Gateway Economic Development Authority; Board Member – Mobile Area Education Foundation; President  – HIPPY Advisory Board; Member – Alabama State Advisory Council for Career/Technical Education; Board member – Downtown Mobile Alliance and Business Improvement District; Board Member – Gulf Coast Exploreum and a member of the Sunrise Rotary Club. He is a graduate of McGill Institute and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of South Alabama.
